About Progressive metal band Paranormal Activity was formed on the 2nd of January, 1999; when its founders were absolutely sober after their wild celebration of New Year. The first staff wore a name Quadro Diablos (Four Devils), but it was changed with the advent of the fifth member. The band plays instrumental stuff and gets nothing to do with looking for a singer, because to their mind, it would be at least stupid to spoil their professionally played music with somebody's amateurish singing. Paranormal Activity takes part in live performances actively. It is astonishing, but mass media pays more concentrated attention to the band than underground 'zines. As evidence, you may find notable concert and demo reviews of the biggest Crimean and Ukrainian editions (as well as in Muzikalniya Gazeta in Byelorussia). Quadro Diablos' rehearsal demo was recorded in the same year and included 2 tracks - "Three Minute Silence" and "Shadow", then "Shadow" was re-recorded by Paranormal Activity, and a new track "Titanic" was recorded too. At the present moment it is possible to say that their debut album will be available soon as well as a professionally done 3D video featuring aliens, although the band is looking for a label to release it in CD-format.
He completed his studies in a musical school as an accordion player in 1995 and was invited to play on the keyboards in death/doom band Karzer (R.I.P. in 1998) in 1996, then in a rather serious experimental project Road Pizza. Being a member of Road Pizza he started playing in Quadro Diablos too in 1998.
Anatoliy is one of the underground art elders. He started his musical activity as a drummer in the end of 1992. Names of the majority of the bands he played for sank into oblivion, but one of them was death metal band Genital Grinder. In 1996 he found himself in Karzer and started playing alive. To gain more experience he also joined death metal band Licantropia. A short time later both extreme bands broke up and he was brought to Road Pizza as a "free supplement" to a drum-machine (by the way, the drum-machine was replaced by a computer and Anatoliy was fired). So, necro-culture received him back with outstretched arms and he joined two techno death metal bands Leprozoriy and Entrails at once, but after their split he found himself in Quadro Diablos/Paranormal Activity (at the same time playing in a cool funk band Postoronnim V (R.I.P.)).
Even in the beginning of his creative career in spite of his young age he managed to play the guitar in an old cult pagan folk hard rock band Ivan Kupala (R.I.P. (don't mix up the band with other band of the same name from Saint-Petersburg which plays pop techno folk)). Denis was also noticed in Licantropia (death metal), and after its split he found himself in Quadro Diablos/Paranormal Activity. In addition to playing guitar he also played drums in a thrash/doom band Yrator Ifos (R.I.P.) and in his own alternative band Misteria. In autumn of 2000 he left Paranormal Activity to concentrate his activity on Misteria (now R.I.P.) and take part in other projects as a session drummer, e.g. in a cult heavy rock-n-roll band Lea.Der, and a permanent drummer in Fusion-Orchestra (a very cool jazz band). An alien creature (extraterrestrial) was developed on the famous band's picture after Denis' departure from Paranormal Activity instead of him.
His record of service is not so big as ones of his colleagues. Up to the moment he managed to play only in Licantropia (R.I.P.) and Quadro Diablos/Paranormal Activity. But at the same time he was noted playing bass in folk side project Heather Wasteland with other bass-player AR and Paranormal Activity's drummer Anatoliy.
He completed his studies in a musical school as a pianist in 1994, and started playing guitar in a rock'n'roll band State Texas in 1997. After a time he formed his own hard-rock band Atributika (a.k.a. Antidrive), but being invited to Quadro Diablos he failed to overcome such a fourfold temptation and joined the band. So, owe to him the band ceased to be "four devils" because he became the fifth "devil", and the band was renamed into Paranormal Activity. After that he was also invited to play keyboards in Yrator Ifos. According to results of the festival Kryl'ya-1999 (Crimea), he obtained the title of the best guitar-player, Antidrive was acknowledged to be the best band of 1999 and Paranormal Activity got a special prize of jury. At the present moment Eugene also plays the guitar in ShAM (very sophisticated so-called Russian rock) and keyboards in Fusion-Orchestra. Band contact: band@paranormal.com.ua
